About

As a mom, wife and an kindergarten teacher  I have to wear many hats every day. Balancing lesson plans, classroom activities, and family life can be quite the juggling act!  I have always loved color and finding ways to use it in different ways and I have always tried to carve out time for a creative outlet.  Taking photos of places and important events and people in my life, scrapbooking or diy-ing things in my home are just a few of the ways I have kept my creative juices flowing.  I have used my classroom to also fuel my need for creativity.  Getting messy with 5 year olds seems to give you permission to experiment!  As I continued to search the internet to find ways keep creative , watercolor tutorials kept showing up.  I didn't just jump in.  It couldn't be as easy as all the artists made it seem.  But, I nothing to lose and after I got the nerve to try one, I was hooked!  I have now set up a "studio" in our dining room, and spend a little time everyday doing something with art, whether is painting, learning a new skill or even just making a list of ideas and to-dos for my creative outlet.  Now I want to share the calm and joy I have found in creating with watercolor.  I hope I can bring a little color to your world, whether in something I have painted or by helping you to paint something that has given you inspiration.

Looking forward to continue making my own art and teaching budding artists of all ages!

  • Amy and John

John and I have been married going on 23years. He is always encouraging me, willing to put things together with his own creative ideas and haul ALL the heavy things. LOL

  • My family

Also my biggest cheerleaders! Whether they sit and talk while I paint, come ready to try it themselves or "ooo" and "ahhh" over the work, they are always fun to have around! Even our dog, Phineas, will get in the middle of things!
